It’s been very hard … – but hard times are over!

West Ham United 1-0 Tottenham Hotspur

Frederic Piquionne scored the 10,000th Premier League goal with a Nike football in West Ham United’s victory.

< Piquionne‘s first half header also gave West Ham their first league win of the season in a thrilling London derby at Upton Park (pic: BBC).

It was no more than West Ham deserved as they showed the grit and determination which manager Avram Grant will need to see more of if they are to avoid relegation this season.

“It’s been very hard, but it’s getting easier now
hard times are over, over for a while …

And the Hammers aren’t bottom of the table any more:

18 Wigan 6 -11 5
19 West Ham 6 -9 4
20 Everton 6 -3 3

Mark Noble was my man of the match. He was all over the pitch, fierce in his tackling and delivered some excellent balls into the area. He also nearly scored a 25 yard screamer into the top left hand corner but somehow the Spurs keeper saved it. I’d say this was probably Mark Noble’s best game in a Hammers shirt. Agreed?
