West Ham United’s Robert Green only the second keeper to make nine saves

Seems that Rob is back! - West Ham United’s Robert Green was only the second keeper to make nine saves in a Barclays Premier League match this season. The West Ham stopper almost kept a clean sheet against the Gunners, if it hadn’t been for Arsenal defender Gael Clichy’s assist for Alex Song’s winner in the 88th minute to beat a resilient Hammers side. By the way it was Clichy’s first assist at the Emirates Stadium since January 2008, also against the Hammers. Should have rather kept that for their next opponent!

The first keeper to make nine saves in a game was Chelsea’s Petr Cech against Wolverhampton Wanderers, a game that Chelsea won 2-0 last weekend.
