Claret and blue – The Boleyn kit 2015-16

The so-called Boleyn kit for the 2015-16 season has been presented last Friday and is supposed to look like the first kit that West Ham wore in their first season in their stadium in 1904.

I am happy that the new kit has the traditional blue sleeves, and that the Hammers will wear white shorts instead of the blue ones they had last season. White socks could have been more traditional, as West Ham mostly used white for their socks within the last seasons, but claret socks are ok for me, too.

Now, as the transfer window is open until the end of August, attention switches from the new kit to the possible new signings, and there won’t be hardly a day on which we will not read some silly stories on players to leave or to come in. The new manager has already made clear that he only wants to bring in players who are stronger than the ones that are already there. Players have reported back for training on June 22nd.

West Ham have already signed Spain U21 midfielder Pedro Obiang (23) from Italian club Sampdoria, only one day after Slaven Bilic had been unveiled as their new manager.
